The senior project director is Dr. Fran Norris. Dr. Norris has been conducting disaster research for almost 20 years and has considerable expertise in the field of education. Dr. Norris has recently turned her attention full time to the study of disaster and disaster research education.

Co-directors of REDMH include Dr. Matthew Friedman, Executive Director of the National Center for PTSD, Dr. Jessica Hamblen, Deputy for Education at the National Center for PTSD, Dr. Patricia Watson, Senior Education Specialist at the National Center for PTSD, Dr. James Carter, Research Psychologist at the Center for Clinical Computing at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Dr. Krzysztof Kaniasty, Professor of Psychology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

In addition to the project directors, REDMH has an extensive and renown program faculty. All are involved in ongoing disaster research and have made significant contributions to the field. Faculty serve as mentors to new investigators enrolled in the mentoring program and/or as consultants. Additional faculty with clinical experience responding to disaster serve as consultants.
